I recently installed Silktest 2010 in windows 7 which has IE8. I am using classic agent to record a web application.
I Click on Enable extensions
Select IE8 browser
It asks to restart the browser and "Test" button is disabled
after restart the browser it refused the recognize the browser and "Test" button remains disabled.
This happens even for generic sites like google.com.
as far as I know, the classic agent does not support recording on IE8. For web apps generally I strongly recommend using the Open Agent, especially when you're recording a new test, since its support is far superior.
Thank you, RakeshSharma
I have thousands of test cases with IE6/IE7
Use activeX in extension gave me real breakthrough and save most of my scripts.
For sure, IE8 frame should do some update in toolbars definitions,
