    Silk4J and FireFox problems

    Hello,
    I'm trying to get my Silk4J test cases to run in FireFox. I'm using:

    browser = desktop.executeBaseState (new BrowserBaseState("C:/Program Files/Mozilla Firefox/Firefox.exe", "http://www.google.com"));

    but it times out with this error:

    com.borland.silktest.jtf.common.LaunchApplicationT imeoutException: Time out expired after launching application. The requested object '//BrowserApplication//BrowserWindow' was not found within the timeout of 180 seconds.

    Anyone know what's wrong here?

    Thanks.

    Re: Silk4J and FireFox problems

    hi,
    does the browser start (do you see the window)?

    depending on your version of silktest the firefox version you have may not be supported, you may want to check the firefox version you have against the release notes for your silktest version.

    Hi I am also getting the same issue, I am using Mozilla Fire Fox version 25.0 with Silk4j plugin (I have Silktest 13.5 installed)on my machine (with OS/Windows7), while running the test case the browser (Fire Fox) gets loaded, but failed to launch the URL passed. following error is coming:

    com.borland.silktest.jtf.common.LaunchApplicationT imeoutException: Time out expired after launching application. The requested object '//BrowserApplication//BrowserWindow' was not found within the timeout of 180 seconds.

    the same test cases are running fine with IE.

    any help is much appreciated.

    Silk Test 13.5 only supports Firefox up to version 14. Silk Test 15.0 was the first version to support Firefox 25. Silk Test 15.0 Update 1 supports Firefox versions 22 through 28.
