Tags change when u scroll down

I am testing a webbased application. The particular screen has a table with several columns.

Suppose a column in a table consists of 10 textfields.Only 4 textfields are visible on the screen .To see the others I need to scroll down.
While writing the script when I go to window identifier,it identifies the 4th textfield as

    RCCombi.BrowserChild("Type").HtmlTable("Type").Htm lColumn("#1").HtmlTextField("#4")

When I scroll down then the window identifier
    identifies the 5th textfield as

    RCCombi.BrowserChild("Type").HtmlTable("Type").Htm lColumn("#1").HtmlTextField("#2")
It changes to something thats not logical.

Logically the 5th textfield tag should be #5.
    I hope u get what i mean.

    Thanks,
    ss

I can see that you're not declaring any windows...

Without window declarations, nothing will work! (more than once that is)

You have to build your frame first by declaring the windows, and make sure you use multitags for all objects, Pick Caption then Window ID, then Index (I can see that you're relying on index mainly)

For table columns, index is acceptable, but other things, not.

    Hope that helps

    ss,

you need to enable the agent option "Show Windows Which Are Out Of View". Otherwise all numbering of attach names is done based on the current viewable area and not the whole page.

    Hi AJ,

I understand that, but initially I tried with declaring the window declaration in the frame file.

When I initially come to that screen u can see half f the screen. At this time SilkTest identifies the objects according to the declaration but when i scroll down to see the other objects it identifies wierd ,it takes the 7th textfield as the 1st one.t behaves wierd there is no definite action.
    I hope I am clear.

    Thanks
