I know only coding using silk test?
But latest version of silk test i.e. silktest 2009.
Most of the companies are asking Silk Test with java.
So does it means silk test scripting language is obsolete & we need to learn java also?
Can we code in silk test 2009 as we used code before in silk test 2006R2?
Re: silktest 2009 vs Previous versions of silktest
SilkTest has added support for scripting in Java via the Silk4J plug-in to Eclipse, as a new scripting option.
SilkTest ALSO continues to include the existing 4Test environment that you have previously used. Both the existing Classic Agent tech domains and the New Open Agent tech domains are supported using SilkTest and 4Test scripting.
What this means is that for supported tech domains you can continue to use existing and create new tests using 4Test and the Classic Agent, AND you can create new scripts using 4Test and the Open Agent.
