Question about a declaration
Silktest's windows declaration is recognizing a dynamic text as a HTMLTEXT in the frame. i want it to be declared as a Html text field .the purpose being that i can use the Gettext method. note even in case of a Htmltext declaration can use the gettext method but sadly the text is static there as in the declaration.
Thank you for any kind of help...
Re: Question about a declaration
There are 2 basic ways to verify HtmlText that is dynamic. You don't need to define it as HtmlTextField.
1) In the script, simply verify it as...
print (MyPage.HtmlText("expected text").Exists ())
2) Use SilkTests record tags utility to see if the HtmlText object has a defined control id or is always the same index on the page. You can declare that object using the control id or index instead of the text. Then you can use the GetText method to return the current text.
