How to get valid list items in a List Box.

Hi can any one help me in Getting Only Valid Values of List Box.

I am working on c# dot net windows application Automation. Here in my application I have 2 List boxes (ListBox1 Contains (10, 20, 30) values and ListBox2 Contains (AA, BB,CC)).When I select ListBox1 value (10) ListBox2 value (AA) gets grayed off (Invalid). Please let me know how to get / Verify Only Valid Values in List box.

    Thanks' in Advance

    Hi Kishore

I had checked setting agent option OPT_VERIFY_ENABLED
but Unfortunately it is not returning Only Valid values from the list box.

Re: How to get valid list items in a List Box.

    Hello ,

Could anyone guide me out how to automate content mapping on website using shell scripts.

What i did was I tried to search the text using 'grep' but to vain it resulted me with matches inside the html code, whereas I want to perform same search on web content rather than code.

Is there any way to handle out.

I don't want to use any of the automation tool for the purpose.

Please let me know if anyone have any suggestion on it ASAP.

    Regards

    Alind Khanna

    Hi Alind Khanna,

You could have posted a new query rather than replying to my post. You are bypassing the original issue which i raised.

Re: How to get valid list items in a List Box.

Are you saying that individual items within the listbox can be enabled and disabled? If so, I don't think there's a built-in method to return only those values that are "valid" or enabled. You could probably write your own wrapper method to do it though. Say be returning the full list of items in the list, and then trying to select each one individually, wrapping the select in a do...except block, where maybe the except means the item is disabled. And build your own custom list to return back that way.
