    InvokeJava() from Applet

    Has anyone been able to get InvokeJava() to work from an applet?

    Where should the .class file be for the method being invoked?

    I've tried putting it in the class path of the browser, as well as at the same location as the JAR file for the applet.

    Ideas?

    Re: InvokeJava() from Applet

    You cannot InvokeJava from an applet running in a browser, because the applet uses the JVM of the browser which has no hooks into Silk. But you can do it using appletviewer.

    Re: InvokeJava() from Applet

    Well,
    Segue support claims it works, but when I sent them my testcase they can't make it work either.

    Anyone have any experince with this?

    FWIW: I don't believe the previous poster's statement about JVM's, as silktest works with java applets, and things like record window decl's etc must communicate with the JVM in the browser... but that's just my opinion. - and who am I anyway?
