Embedded Browsers and DOM
Has anyone been able to access elements from an embedded browser object using DOM?
The SilkTest documentation gives the following advice about working with embedded browsers... creating a new extension based on your application (surrounding the embedded browser.) Unfortunately, this scheme only seems to work if you make the extension an IE4 OCX... which doesn't support DOM.
So, again the question - has anyone been able to access elements from a web page in an embedded browser using DOM ?
Re: Embedded Browsers and DOM
This shouldn't be possible, since DOM requires calls made directly to IE5. DOM calls to other browsers will only work if the browser supports DOM and if SilkTest knows how to make the calls to access the DOM objects.
I've been able to view Browser objects in email, and several other applications using the IE4/OCX extension.
Hope this helps
