Getting identifier with dynamic object recognition
SilkTest 2008 R2 SP1
Trying to use Open Agent dynamic object recognition to get an attribute added by the developer to the DOM elements, but not
seeing it in the window. We see the following attributes:
A new attribute has been added & the name given by the developer is: id
The issue is that we are not getting this attribute...is there a way to configure to get attributes?
Appreciate any response.
Re: Getting identifier with dynamic object recognition
additional info...this is on IE6.
Let me know if any more info is needed.
Re: Getting identifier with dynamic object recogni
I think you need to define it as custom class attribute (options -> class attributes), however as far as I recall, id should be one of the defaults, so you should be able to see it when recording a locator. This is necessary for recording only.
when you try in a script to do a Print(Desktop.find("//*[@id='myUniqueId']")) do you get something returned or is an error thrown?
