I am trying to run the SilkTest scripts through SilkCentral Test Manager. But I must open SilkTest and open the project to be ran first to let it run well, otherwise all of the test scripts will be failed. If I run it in this way it is not more convenient than running the test scripts in SilkTest.
What is wrong with my operation? What is the necessary precondition to run the SilkTest scripts through SCTM?
Thanks a lot.
Sounds like you have not configured your execution server correctly. The SilkTest runtime should fire up automatically on the machine specified as the execution server when the tests start. If yiou installed SilkTest after SCTM and you are trying to run all from the same machine then you may need to reinstall the SilkTest runtime...
I'd need more info on your SCTM installation, network connections to the execution servers and so on to offer more help.
Thank you all for your reply!
The detailed information for SCTM and SilkTest is as following:
The SCTM is installed on computer A.
SilkTest and the execution server is installed on computer B.
The AUT is also installed on computer B.
After the AUT is upgraded to a new version, it is required to run SilkTest scripts on computer B through SCTM.
The installation sequence is: SCTM, SilkTest, execution server.
All of the configuration is by default.
Hope these information can help for your diagnosation. Thanks a lot.
