    Dynamic Tags Help

Ok... So here is the issue I have. I have an HTMLText whose tag is defined by the username. What is the best way for me to access this field? Here is what I tried..

    1) AndoMediaManagementConsole_LeftNav_Welcome.HtmlTex t(userName).VerifyProperties ({...})

    2) I defined a window

    [-] window HtmlText AndoMediaManagementConsole_Welcome_UserName
    [ ] parent AndoMediaManagementConsole_LeftNav_Welcome
    [ ] tag userName
    [ ] string userName = ""

    AndoMediaManagementConsole_Welcome_UserName.Verify Properties ({...})

Number 1 works, but number 2 doesn't. Any ideas?

As per point 2 it verifies the the perticular page contains object properties(like in the same page supoose contains, HtmlTextField,Pushbuttons etc).

if you can use point 1 statement if verifies only on particuar object like HtmlText only

    Regards,
    Kishore

You can't use variable for tag info just like that. You have to put within double quotes or write a function for that. See the Silktest Help for more info.

Actually, using a variable for a tag works just fine.
