    Re: Suite and plan file

    Suite : Suite file there is no option to set attribute as per your requirements. it's look like bulk of batch file

    Testplan: 1.You have an option set attributes as per your requiremnts.
    2. You have an option to set priority executing testcases

    3. You can custmize your own attributes.

    Select: Select is a method to select any item form the listbox class.

    Switch : Switch statement to select only one case operations as per your requirments.

    Regards,
    Kishore

    Re: Suite and plan file

    switch/case takes a variable and allows you to handle cases for certain values, in pseudo code:
    <font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>
    int myvar
    switch(myvar)
    case 1
    doStuffFor1()
    break
    case 3
    doStuffFor3()
    break
    default
    doDefaultStuff()
    </pre><hr />

    while a select/case allows you to evaluate boolean conditions, much like an if/else if/else cascade, in pseudo code:
    <font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>
    select
    case (something == otherthing)
    doStuff()
    break
    case (something == anotherthing)
    doOtherStuff()
    break
    default
    doDefaultStuff()
    </pre><hr />
    Personally I find if/else if/else much clearer than select/case and see no reason to use select/case. (except for showing off you mad 4Test skills [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] )

    Select - Executes one case from a group of cases depending on the validity and order of the cases.

    Switch - Executes one case from a group of cases depending on the value and order of the cases.
    The shortest distance between two points is under construction.
