Browser Crash Upon Starting a Script (and the workaround)
I have found that I can generate a browser crash (Netscape or IE) on Win2K simply by choosing 'Windows Declarations' in Silktest 5.03.1 (or 5.03.0). Running a script also crashed the browser.
I think I have it traced to the virus checker. I am currently running McAfee Scan Engine 4.0.70 with virus definitions 4.0.4100. When I exit from all McAfee processes, the Silk/Browser interaction becomes normal.
I am only using one platform: Toshiba Tecra 8100, 196 Mb Ram, but it has caused me enough grief to get it out there in case it is platform independent.

Same machine, Same OS and Probably about the same specs. Norton 7.01 Corp Edition Scan Engine 1.1.11 and No Prolems. I don't know if that helps you but you may be right about McAfee (which BTW I use at home).
