Remote Desktop window
We are doing distributed testing and using more than two instance of Remote Desktop window (RDW) (Dynamic machines)
SILK will run on my machine:
So lets assume one RDW name "145.756.663.658 - Remote Desktop" and second is "175.659.478.985 - Remote Desktop"
Before execution on particular machine we use "Connect"
Can we automate this process like If "145.756.663.658 - Remote Desktop" dose not exist then open RDW and connect to that machine and if it is already connected then Restore and active that RDW ????????
I want general declaration for both the RDW so I can use it with machined IP prefix.
Please answere me ASAP. It is similar to do Descriptive programing in SILK for Remote Desktop window.
Re: Remote Desktop window
You can definitely connect to a computer via RDC.
You can create a connection file and then run a command from SilkTest "mstsc <connection file>" or you can run the mstsc with certain options that will establish a connection for you. To find out the options simply run "mstsc /?"
Now, in order for you to test if the connection was established, you'll have to wait about 30 seconds and see if connection timed out. (If connection did time out, you'll see a window with an error message saying that client couldn't connect to the remote computer).
Hope this will help you get started.
