    How to change keyboard-layout?

    Hi there,

how can I change the keyboard-layout within SILK-Test? Ich have a QWERTZ-Keyboard, but Silk is using a QWERTY-Keyboard-layout for e.g. the editor. I cannot reinstall SILK so is there a property-setting to change?

    Thanks,

    Peter

    Re: How to change keyboard-layout?

I believe there is a seperate installer or maybe language selection during the install for SilkTest? I don't know of any way to switch language after the install.

    Re: How to change keyboard-layout?

U can try setting an agent option "OPT_KEYBOARD_LAYOUT".

Although, I have never used it myself.

Here is a quote from ST help...

    [ QUOTE ]

    OPT_KEYBOARD_LAYOUT

Provides support for international keyboard layouts in the Windows environment. Specify an operating system-specific name for the keyboard layout. See your Microsoft Windows documentation to determine what string your operating system expects. Alternatively, use the GetOption method to help you determine the current keyboard layout, as in:

    Print (Agent.GetOption (OPT_KEYBOARD_LAYOUT))

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Hope this helps ...

    Re: How to change keyboard-layout?

    Hi!

    @2lz
I don't mention the SILK-Agent-Option. I have difficulties in the edit-window of SILK itself!! Everywhere in my system the keyboard-layout is German, QWERTZ, but in SILK the layout is QWERTY... :-(

    Greetings,

    Peter

    Re: How to change keyboard-layout?

Maybe a silly suggestion but you could get a Qwerty keyboard.... although this could be fun to use with your other apps!

    Why can't you re-instal SilkTest?

    Re: How to change keyboard-layout?

    Hi!

It is not in my control to install software on my computer. The software is distributed by our software-department. And they are... well no comment. My first installation needed about 8 weeks... *head -> desk*

But, I think I have to do this... :-(

    Greetings,

    Peter

    Re: How to change keyboard-layout?

if you have multiple keyboard layouts installed on your computer, you can switch them with shift+alt. note that this usually only sets the keyboard layout for the current active application, so maybe you accidentally pressed shift+alt when working with silk test?
