Silk bug submission without opening cases? + Rant
We are on a limited support contract, but because we're dealing with an ActiveX application (which I guess not many are doing) we are uncovering a lot of strange and annoying bugs. Is there a way to submit bugs without opening a ticket?
And now. . . Begin rant. . .
I opened a case on one of our bugs - SetActive stopped working for some reason. After about 4 months, the "resolution" was to write a work-around for SetActive that uses Alt-Tab to cycle through any open applications until I get the one I want.
We see a lot more bugs than this - in the midst of test suites, Silk stops recognizing controls on our application. Sometimes Silk doesn't see the application even though it's up, so tries to start up 14 of them. . . this kind of thing. I would like to report these issues without opening cases, honestly.
Also, SilkCentral is kind of a train wreck (why is there no option to run all test cases that were not executed, for example?) and I have a lot of suggestions to put in there, as well.
Is there a way I can open bugs/make suggestions for their products without wasting a support ticket?
OK, I feel better now, thanks for listening
Re: Silk bug submission without opening cases? + Rant
I don't think so, it is possible...
Most of the times, we need to find workaround/trick for our issues. Now a days, the compatibility between two silktest versions are not appropriate.. We need to change few silktest settings or 4test code.
