Status of a remote agent..
Is there a way to connect to a remote agent and start up the test suite and have the agent turn off it's network settings before it starts.
The reason for this is because I have a bank of test agents and we don't/can't assign an series of agents to a certain project just because we don't have enough agent to go around. So we schedule test builds to fire off in the early morning and we test it, and then some more test will come through but we don't want to use an agent that has already run a test because 1, we want to review results and 2, we want to "clean" test machine to run the tests on.
Thanks in advance..
FYI, we are currently using VmWare's ESX test enviroment...
Re: Status of a remote agent..
This is a long shot but still give it a try...
when you change the network settings for your agent, it's information gets stored in the partner.ini file. You can have multiple copies of that file and based on what you are about to execute, simply change that file by remote copying (look at sysinternals for remote applications). Then after you have copied your partner.ini over, start your agent.
Hope this helps.
