Calling a method asynchronously
I am trying to call a QA hook method our development team has provided with the application under test. The method resided on a custom control, and we wrote a class wrapped to be able to interact with our custom control. and when I make a call to the method the thread is held and never returned back to silktest. I need to know if there is way in silktest to make an Asynchronous call so my code and just continue on.
Thanks in advance...
Re: Calling a method asynchronously
I'm no expert in this matter, but I would say that with creativity - yes...
What you can do is the following:
1) Write a wrapper application that would call that particular method
2) use a Windows API call (ShellExecuteA under user32.dll) to execute your wrapper. This will be an async call.
hope this helps.
