    SilkTest does not recognize GWT application

    We are trying to test a web application that is developed in GWT. CAn you tell me how I can make SilkTest recognize the window and objects.

    well.. by GWT, do you mean Google Web Toolkit?

    GWT produces javascript doesn't it?

    so your GUI will be a browser with a bunch of javascript and HTML which renders in your browser. I don't see how an app developed with GWT would differ from any other web application.

    did i miss something?

    I am researching GWT applications as well. The next version of our web application is being developed using GWT.
    So far I have had no problem declaring windows and controls developed using GWT. There really shouldn't be anything too special. According to the GWT documentation I have read GWT just takes Java code and converts it to HTML and JavaScript.
    I would think that there is a setting you need to change, possibly in the extensions. Which version of SilkTest are you using? And which browser are you using?
    GWT is considered an AJAX technology and versions of SilkTest before 2008 (Ver. 9) didn't support AJAX too well at all.

    well I am using 2006 version. Thanks for the suggestion . I will update the version and try again.
