I get a lot of errors because the webpage I try to load cannot load an image/include/doubleclick/etc from an external domain.
is it somehow possible to set silkperformer to ignore errors like not loading images or specified http errors (e.g. 403) but only for elements that are loaded from other domains than the current webpage-domain?
the 'doubleclick' image is used to monitor/register clickthroughs from one site to the next i.e. advertising banners etc. Either comment the code line out or set the 403 error to a warning message in silkperformer
The user manual has a good section on this, the important issue I have found when doing this is to set the ignore in the specific area where the errors appears and not to do it as a general ignore for the whole test. This should alleviate the specific error but not any other of the same type errors.
Thanks for the hints, but this is not what I intend ...
I still want to get alarms when e.g. the 403 happens on my site, but when e.g. the doubleclick is not working, I do not want an alarm.
and since i can not change the monitored site, removing doubleclick from the site is no option ...
It seems to me that I only can ignore all or none, but not domainspecific ...
Funny - I was just searching and replied to another similar thread with my question - and this one is spot on too.
I am having the same problem, but I don't want to ignore the errors, I want the external site's (same for me - doubleclick ad's) items to load. Can I add the URL for this site somewhere so it will return things from this site as well as the site I'm testing? Hope this makes sense...
nReturn := GetFirstError( 0, 0, 0, sErrorAddInfo);
while nReturn <> 0 do
nErrorCode := GetErrorCode(nReturn);
if (nErrorCode = 1404) then
if (Strstr(sErrorAddInfo,"doubleclick") = "") then
LOG & IGNORE
