No response from host - connection lost

Hi,

I have a problem with my SilkPerformer script.

I sometimes get the following error message:
43 - No response from host - connection lost!, SendRequest first attempt

The test is performed on a webapplicatiion. This error message appears for some images on some pages, but it does not appear every time the page is loaded. (it appears on all virtual users (but not always), on all of our load generators (but not always))

One of the additional informations, which is provided is:
Cache type: No cache hits

Does anybody know what exactly the error message (No response from host - connection lost!, SendRequest first attempt) means?
Are there more attempts after this one? What are typical reasons for this error?

I could not find any more information about this.

Thanks

Re: No response from host - connection lost

Did you search this forum? Because I'm pretty sure this has been discussed quite a bit here. Bottom line, make triplely sure your scripts are rock solid and EVERY URL is pointed to the correct test environment. Then start working with your IT guys and gals to figure out if there is an environment bottleneck somewhere. This error usually is an indication that the servers are overloaded and dropping requests.
Yes, it really IS rocket science!

thank you for your answer.

I couldn't find any posts in this forum discussing this specific error message.

I could solve the problem by restarting the webservers.
