1011 - unexpected connection close during read
I had this error during a load test with 244 virtual users.
I have 4 agent machines.
I have 12 baseline scripts. This error appears in different scripts (but not always the same scripts.)
I've been reading previous QAforums where guys said this is due to server congestion, or a bug of SP, and load balancer problem. But this error is still appearing when running the test.
After this error appeares it is followed by
1011 - The configuration registry key could not be opened
Any ideas how to solve this problem? or at least where to put attention?
Re: 1011 - unexpected connection close during read
without knowing your network/application setup I can point you in a couple of directions. Basically the problem is that the server is closing the connection to the user before the user has received all of the final data or has not received a 'clean' close from the server. I've seen this happen due to load balancers being misconfigured and I have seen it with Tomcat servers not being configured correctly. Is can also be the TCP stack on the server itself.
I'd start by trying to run a test bypassing the load balancer and go to the servers directly. If you still get 1011 errors, you'll know that they are happening on the servers and not the load balancer.
If they are happening on the server, you can try to narrow things down to a particular server. If it is happening on several servers, chances are that your Tomcat settings need to be looked at. If it is only happening on one machine, I'd check the TCP settings/stack on that box.
