I am new to SilkPerformer and I wanted to know if it can do the following:
In TrueLog Explorer (or any other module) can I ‘add verification’ wherein I compare the selected text from a web page to my correlated parameterized input. For example, if I login to a website with username: sanjay (which is part of parameterized input data), upon successful login, I want to compare the username (sanjay in this case) printed on the home page as HTML, with the input username. This is part of the basic data validation that correct homepage is opening up as part of load testing.
Yes you can do that no problem. I personally don't use the wizard, but if you highlight the text you want to validate and right-click on it, you sould get a menu with an option of 'validate selected text'. Set that up, then manually go into your script and replace the static verification text with your parameter for username.
