    Downloading files ?

    Hi,
does anybody download a big file (e.g. an iso cd image with about 700 MB) via SilkPerformer ?
On my machine Perfrun crashes on getiing the file by a WebPageUrl-Call !

    Re: Downloading files ?

Probably due to large overhead on the SilkPerformer machine.
Downloaded files are not written to the hard disk (not really viable for multiple users), but rather into RAM and then trashed when the download completes.

    Re: Downloading files ?

Is it failing during record, or playback? If it's during playback, record it twice, and compare. Perhaps something is changing between attempts, and needs to be accounted for in the script.

But, as joey pointed out, memory is a big culprit.

    Re: Downloading files ?

Just curious to know how. Did the file physically get downloaded on the machine? Because I was told that this action will crash a machine and the action of downloading can be seen by monitoring the packet flow during the test. So if there is a way can you please share it?

    Re: Downloading files ?

Surely if a defined path is specififed then the targetted download will be stored to the hard disk?
