Has anyone had to test a web application that is accessed via a configuration script proxy.pac ?
within Silkperformer in the web proxy settings for the active profile I check the checkbox 'connect simulated browsers through a proxy server' and I put in the IP and port number.
is it possible to put in eg http://184.108.40.206/proxy.pac into the fields for http and https or it's only possible to put in a domain name or an IP address?
I've also read through some of the other posts on the forum that the settings in the browser must match those in Silkperformer. so if Silkperformer is unable to handle configuration scripts then does that mean I'll have to use a hardcoded IP address as the proxy server within my browser connection settings?
The proxy.pac is a file full of different proxy configurations depending on where you are within the organisation. SP will not process the file as it doesnt care about it, it will treat it as another file to download.
Personally I would comment this out and use your local proxy to access the app
Probally need to have a chat with one of the network admin guys
