I am new to SilkPerformer and using SilkPerformer 6.0. When I started to model a script, a message is displayed with the following text.
“Warning: Hooking not properly configured”
Invalid string in registry entry for Hook.DLL. “qaphooks.dll, MiclPRCrveiver.dll”
Registry Entry, Software\Microsofy\Windows NE\currrentVersion\Applnit.DLLs
Recording may not work properly.
Even if I continue to record the script saying “OK” to above message, script won’t get recorded as mentioned in the message.
Piece of code get recorded.
TInit : begin;
TMain : 1;
Any one have an idea of this could help me out to get rid of this issue.
Within Silk Performer Workbench, go to System and Settings. Click on the Recorder icon in the left pane. Select Internet Explorer, and click Edit. Click on the Web Settings button. Make sure that the Winsock radio button is selected and the value is ws2_32.dll - fixed the issue for me several months ago.
If you go to the registry and make sure that "qaphooks.dll, MiclPRCrveiver.dll” is actually ....
"qaphooks.dll ,MicIPCReceiver.dll" and then reboot. Also in the system settings (also if this fails then upgrade to 6.5.1 and your winsock radio button option will be resolved) of 6.0.1 remove the application entry for your browser and re-enter the details.
Delete the "MicIPCReceiver.dll" from the registry entry. Now you will not get the meesage
Still if you can't record the script follow the steps bellow;
Start the Performer
1. Settings - > System
2. Click on the "Recorder" icon displayed in the left of the opened dialog box
3. Select the "Application Profile" tab, make sure "Internet Explorer" check box is checked and highlight the entry
4. Click the "Edit" button
5. Select the "WinSock" radio option in the "API selection" frame.
