How to record and replay UDP
Hi I am using silk performer 6.0 and I am just not getting it to record UDP. I have a computer with two Ethernet cards a built and and an external NIC. I am producing UDP traffic from a PLC(client) to the NIC in my PC. In the Silk performer running on computer with the NIC I have configured it to listen for UDP traffic and redirect that traffic to another PLC on the network. Now what do I need to do exactly to record and replay. When I go to the systems manager tab for recording , I go under proxy settings and configure it for listening port and give it a host address where I will send the recorded traffic. But there is also a tab called Active profile. I do not know what how to configure this, especially it asks for a .exe file . I dont understand how to configure this. Could some one explain how to achieve this i.e. get silk performer to record UDP traffic which is produced from a client to a computer on which Silk Performer resides. Thanks a lot!
Re: How to record and replay UDP
Hi Its me again. I found the solution so I thought sharing this! I found out that Sik Performer does not recognize the external NIC that I have on my computer, So I had to change the IP address of my built in NIC to get the stuff working. Although this does not seem like an optimal soln. yet thats the way it is!
