I am using Silk Performer which is installed in India, the license server is running in US, the silk performer is connected to license server via VPN connection. Sometimes when i login to VPN and start Silk Performer i get an error message as 'All license in use'. When i try the test connection it says 'Communication with license manager failed. Please make sure the SILK_CONFIG_PATH variable is correct and sgme_sys is running'.
what can be the problem?

Sounds like the SilkMeter service isn't running. Check Services (Control Panel or Admin Tools) on the server. If it is running try restarting the service. You may also need to look in the NT Event Viewer and see if there is anything in there.
Also have a look in the User Policy Administrator (SilkMeter) and see if there is anything strange looking in there.
