I was wondering if Segue had a canned test to simulate random browsing or surfing traffic on a website. I would like to test the Insider website for random surfing and see what loads the platform can take, but I don't know if a test script would accurately reflect 'surfing'. Would a test like this have a 'spider' that travels links all across the sites automatically to simulate random traffic?
Let me know if you find anything out - and see if you can find out how other companies simulate loads or test loads on their websites.
This question comes from a co-worker and I was asked to post the question here. I will also post this on the Silk Test page.
I don't know if Silk has something canned, but I know that if they don't you could write it. I have written something similar with another tool and would be happy to help you with the logic, though I am not an expert with BDL (and it's been a dozen years since I've used Pascal).
