Page-level API vs. Browser-level API?
who uses the Page-level API and who uses the Browser-level API?
(I know this has been discussed in the past in this forum, but that was previous to SP V where there are many new options for the Page-level API)
I have always used the Browser-level API because I know and understand http very well and i think its easier to handle transaction control and parsing dynamic items myself in BDL than letting the page-level functions do it for me.
does anyone have any good reasons or insights as to why you would want to use Page-level API instead of the Browser-level API?
Re: Page-level API vs. Browser-level API?
I used to work with browser level all the time, but I would not even consider it now, even very very static sites. Page-level is now absolutely solid, keeps your scripts short and easily maintainable and handles dynamic pages automatically. I can barely remember the last time I had to parse anything...
