I've only been using SilkPerformer for a couple days now, so pardon me if this question seems stupid.
I'm trying to simulate an FTP "get" command. I tried using the WebFtpGetFile command, but it only reads the file from the remote server. It does not store the file on the local computer. The help file suggests using the WebFtp Open, Read, Write, and Close commands.
I examined these functions and tried writing my own "myWebFtpGetFile" function. No luck.
How can I simulate a true FTP "get", where the file is read and saved with a specified name to a specified directory on the local computer?
Thanks in advance...!
Re: WebFtpGetFile help
storing a file from an ftp server on the local machine is not part of the ftp download process.this is done by the browser.
So, if you want to store the downloaded file on your local machine you should use WebFtpReadFile to read the files content and than store this content to a file on your disc (use: FOpen, FWrite, FClose)
