Can someone elaborate on exactly fWait does in this function?
At the time of capture SilkPerformer set this value as 16.0, but these gives me a response time of something like 16.24 seconds, when doing the test manually it takes about 1 second to get the response.
If I take out the fWait value (which then defaults as 0.0) then the response time is more realistic 1 and 1.5 seconds.
Anyone got any views/experience?
Thanks in advance.
the fwait is like a thinktime statement. as you can read from the online help its the time the statement will take at least.
if you are doing a try script run, think times are ignored, so you get the 1.5 second result.
i guess the recorder scripted 16 seconds because you last 16 seconds on the responding page before continuing browsing to another page
Hmmmm thanks... I see what you mean.
If I view the report for that user both the transaction times and response times include the fWait time.
I've now modified my script so I've got a Thinktime immediately before the timer starts and taken out the fWait value. The report now makes sense because the transaction time includes the thinktime whereas the response time doesn't.
