Testing FoxPro and VB elements in an Application
I need to test an application which is part VB (ADO) and part Visual FoxPro.
I can't capture any traffic for certain in the VB side, because apparently I need to record using COM in SilkPerformer (which is not included in our license yet).
FoxPro uses SQL Pass Through technology to connect to the SQL database. I need to know whether SilkPerformer will be able to capture this traffic?
But, I also need to know whether SilkPerformer will be able to record and then playback traffic from both aspects of the application, because a simulated user may have to go through some VB screens, then VFP screens and maybe back to VB screens.
If anyone has had to test the same sort of setup, I'd appreciate some advice please on how to approach it and what sort of setup in SilkPerformer?
We will be using SilkPerformer 4.5 for this testing, so use the COM support.
Thanks in advance.
