MS Visual C++ and SilkPerformer
I have installed Visual Studio 6 on my PC and it runs fine, but then when I install Silk Performer (v.4) I can't start Visual C++.
When I start Vis C++, the splash screen appears then alerts me that there is an error executing MSDEV.EXE. I have tried installing Visual Studio Service Packs and then it tells me that the files are of the wrong version. This only occurs with Vis C++ all other programs run ok within Vis Studio.
I have isolated this to be caused by installing SilkPerformer, and have tried on NT4 and 2000.
Anybody else come across this and have a solution to my problem? I have checked Microsoft KB and can't find an answer.
Cheers in advance.
Re: MS Visual C++ and SilkPerformer
I didn't have any such problems.
I was running Studio 6 and Perf. 4.0.
Since then, I have Perf 4.5.1 my HD, but I have not tried to install it yet. (we still use 3.5.1 in "production"
