I want to run automatic test and get report with Silk Performer 2008.
I suppose that I can run a exe file with a schedule task...
Is it possible? if yes how?
thanks for your help
I guess you are asking if you can schedule tests to run automatically? Yes you can create batch files (*.bat) to do this from the command line and call these from Windows scheduler.
Alternatively you can purchase Silk Central Test Manager (SCTM) and schedule your tests through that, you get the added benefit of historical results in SCTM.
The shortest distance between two points is under construction.
I am very interrested on your method with the batch file
Could you provide me an example, please?
Is it possible :
- to generate report automatically?
- to compare results with the previous run?
I didn't found examples on Borland Documentation
The syntax to run SilkPerformer from the command line is :-
PERFORMER [project file [/Automation [refresh rate] [/WL:workloadname] [/StartMonitor]] [/PatrolReport] [/Dev]]
For example: assuming a default installation of SilkPerformr 2008 on the C: drive
"C:\Program Files\Borland\SilkPerformer 2008\performer" "C:\Program Files\Segue\SilkPerformer 2008\Working\Projects\WebServices\Services.ltp" /Automation 5 /WL:IncreasingWorkLoad
This is described in the help and on the support site in more detail.
