SilkPerformer 4.0 to test a client server app?
Does anyone have experience using SilkPerformer 4.0 to test a Client Server application that was developed using PowerBuilder 6.5 and connects to an Oracle 8 database using OCI? If so I would appreciate any tips or advice about how to record the traffic.

Re: SilkPerformer 4.0 to test a client server app?
Currently SilkPerformer can only record OCI traffic if it is OCI v7. OCI v8 contains many more functions than v7 and SilkPerformer does not support these. If your app does use OCI 7, then it is a case of creating a new application profile in the Recorder and specifying that the application uses OCI. If you them start the application up through the Recorder, the application traffic will be recorded. When you are creating the application profile, if the OCI and ODBC options are disabled, check that you have the Database testing module in the SilkPerformer about box.
I hope this helps.
