Arrival rate of transactions - how calculated
In the Performer 3.0 User's guide on page 25, there is an example of a calculation for the number of V_Users given as follows:
V_User = T_Count * T_Dur / Sim_Dur
= 1875 trxns * 80 seconds / 1800 secs
= 84 Users
The example then goes on to say that 23 transactions are required --> 84 * 23 = 1932, an approximation of 1875 total transactions.
If these values are used in a simulation, what is the arrival rate of transactions - do all 84 users enter their first transaction at exactly the same time, or are all users managed to achieve the .96 second mean arrival rate (i.e. 1800/1875)described on page 127 under "Delay of arrival between two transactions".

All users do not start their transactions at exactly the same instant. The simulation is managed such that the arrival rate matches the model (for long running load tests).
