What is meant by a thread?
What is meant by a thread? a user, a transaction, a or connection?
Since the way Silk Perf works, is a certain user could have multiple transactions, and a transaction could have multiple connection ... so what is a thread (num of user, num of transactions, or num of connections?).
Note: I'm using Silk Performer, to measure the performance of Web Logic (as a Web Server), and a 3 tier Java application.
Well the reason that I'm asking this question is that I'm getting the following error constantly:
"http: 1011 : unexpected connection closed during read" especially with a 20+ user sessions.
Re: What is meant by a thread?
A thread could mean all the above...
In your case (using WebLogic) a thread is a server thread which means a server process (could be 1 connection) and it could be a transaction
A thread in SilkPerformer usually means a user. So they are 2 different things.
The reason behind maxing out with WebLogic is because it's a server problem. That server does NOT support many connections and it needs tweaking and plenty of resources to do so. (It's Java based, what do you expect :rolleyes
