    pattern matching in SP

    Hi All,
I have a following scenario which I can't figure it out how to do in SP. A webpage has 3 list boxes (Reason, State(disabled) & Area(disabled)). When User selects a Reason from the Reason List box, State list box becomes enabled. When User selects a State from the State List box then Area listbox becomes enabled.

I am trying to find a way in SP of how to do pattern matching. For example when I get a response back from the server on selecting option for "Reason", I can search for a State (pattern matching) in the page and use it to pass the value to next page so that appropriate Area details are displayed in the area listbox.

In LR you can use web_reg_save_param() to search for a pattern and save it into a parameter.

    cheers,

    Re: pattern matching in SP

Why cannot you parse all the 3 listvalues with webparsedatabound function ?

It should take care of all the values irrespective of whatever you select.

    Hi,

You can use the following functions.

WebParseDataBoundEx() // gothrough the all the arguments of this function.

strSearchDelimited() // capture the string from the given text.

    Thanks,
    R@M
