I want to pick your experienced brains on how you report on UAT scenarios?
For example : I have the following structure in QC
----<folder> Scenario 01
Now the challenge is to get a report at the scenario level as well as at Day level.
Do you have the test management tool? If yes, then it would be easier to you..
It should depend on what is your objective.
1. Reporting at the scenario level is helpful - if your objective is to share & review the overall coverage.
2. Reporting at day level is helpful - if your objective is to understand execution for every cycle/builds happening in UAT & then see how many have passed in a given testing schedule for a feature.
If you are trying to do both, you can use pivots in excel (if there are no testing tools available) or you can go for setting up some very open source basic testing tools (such as testlink). Although, for tool setup, you may need to get some help from IT support folks.
