    creating a web service test

I am trying to create a test for a web service.
When trying to load a WSDL file in WebService(SOAP) Request Sampler, I get an error: "The WSDL was not valid...".
I guess this is because the web service requires "basic authentication".
How can I cause JMeter to authenticate in order to load the WSDL file ?

Re: creating a web service test

Sorry, I have the same problem.
where should I specify my authentication details?
currently, I am trying to send request to demo WSDL on my computer (not URL), giving full path and get ""The WSDL was not valid...".

    Thanks in advance.

Re: creating a web service test

you can make use of "HTTP Authorization Manager" and Click on ADD then mention the WSDL URL under "Base URL" and provide UserName and Password. After this try to configure the Web Service request as you are giving, this may help you out in authentication while running the test..
Let me know if it helps.

    Thanks,
