Most likely you're sitting behind the corporate proxy. You can configure JMeter to use proxy server in at least 2 ways:
- Command-line options
- Editing properties file
Relevant command line parameters are:
so run JMeter as:
-H [proxy server hostname or ip address]
-P [proxy server port]
-N [nonproxy hosts] (e.g. *.apache.org|localhost)
-u [username for proxy authentication - if required]
-a [password for proxy authentication - if required]
You can also define these properties in system.properties file (located under /bin folder of your JMeter installation like:
jmeter -H 10.20.30.40 -P 3128 .....
Substitute "10.20.30.40" with your real proxy IP address or hostname and "3128" with your proxy port.
