How to capture COOKIE value from HTTP Request
I want to use COOKIE value of HTTP Request in another soap request.
If we hits this HTTP url in browser it asks server username and password, when i enter these credentials it gives "cookie" value in live HTTP headers(firefox Addin). So i want to use this cookie value in my SOAP request in Jmeter.
How to handle this scenario in JMeter? Please help.
In jmeter i tried with cookie manager, but not sure how to use this.
It works in following Jmeter scenario
HTTP Header Manager - >Added Cookie and value (this value captures from firefox live http headers)
but in above scenario cookie value keeps changing so how to capture cookie value.
I don't think that hard-coding a cookie is the best solution. JMeter provides HTTP Cookie Manager which automatically takes care about cookies and cookie-based authentication.
Sometimes cookies only are not enough, in that case there is a HTTP Authorization Manager which handles requests requiring authentication. Supported types are:
- Digest (NTLM)
For comprehensive information on overcoming different authentication types challenges refer to Windows Authentication with Apache JMeter guide.
