Jmeter replay 401 message
Recorded a script using Jmeter for a previous incarnation of our website and these scripts ran fine.
We are upgrading to a virtual server with IIS 7.5 and recorded the same scripts, played them back but continually receive the 401 error. A pointer in the right direction would be appreciated.

'WWW-Authenticate: Negotiate' indicates you have a non-Basic authentication in place. Did you make Jmeter to authenticate and get the relevant credentials before attempting to access the site ?

here is one way to debug.
firefox + httpfox(plugin), repeat steps that your script is doing, and compare headers and content that is sent.
check that same cookies are sent.
If you are going to run http load, you should understand the http protocol.
Here's the spec for the http authentications. It's pretty straight forward.
In short, you are trying to access a protected content and you don't have access to it. Either your script was using mechanisms to authenticate that is no longer valid (e.g. storing cookie with session ids that have expired) or the security on the page has changed.
