Post Not able to retrieve response while pushing msgs to MQ using JMS PointToPoint Sampler

    Hi All,
We are tring to push message to MQ(IBM WebSphere MQ) and to retrieve responses using JMS-Point-to-Point Sampler. While 1 thread(user) was used the message was retrieved in the stipulated time. But when we use 2 threads and and iterated the test continuously, error wherer found occassionally, since response wasn't obtained in the stipulated time. The error rate increases when more threads are used. We need to achieve 120 tps/rps with paciing(delay) of atleast 1 sec. Please help. Is it anything related to multithreading constraint in JMeter with MQ.

I also came across the below doubts while setting the test plan..guys..kindly help.

1.On providing 550 threads and pacing (using Test action sampler) as 5.5 secs, the response gets timed out and error percentage is very high (97-100%) even when its run in non GUI mode with the listeners also disabled. But with low tps rate(1 TPS) ,we were able to get the desired response time.

2.To maintain TPS rate, we have used Constant throughput timer has been added to the thread group. However we were getting 99 % failures from start.

3.Is it necessary to run the load test in distributed mode to achieve the desired 120 tps? ( No of users/threads -660 and pacing -5.5). If so how many JMeter instances are needed for scalability? Is there any benchmarking available for MQ scripts.

4.When JMeter is remotely tested, can we run the master JMeter machine in GUI mode with 1 or 2 listeners enabled ( Response time graph /Transaction per second graph) ? This is to monitor the graphs during the test run and ensure the response time and TPS rate is met without having to plot the graph later at the end of the test.

5.Messages are pushed using a JMS point to point sampler and parameterization is done by providing a CSVRead function at every appropriate place within the content of the message.During load test , will the CSV reads cause performance overhead ?

    Hi,

I am also trying to load test IBM websphere MQ with jmeter. Can you please send me the details of configuring jmeter's JMS-Point-to-Point Sampler.
