Jmeter 2.7 + SSL Load Balanced Application

Hello - seeking expert inputs to take me out of a problem i am facing when load testing an SSL Load Balanced .Net application using JMeter 2.7.
I am providing details below hoping it should be enough.

If i use the direct application servers IP with upto 100 threads and ramp =1 then - no problems.

If i use the Load Balancer URL and test with 2 threads then - no problems.

Issue arises when i use the Load Balancer URL with 5 threads and ramp=1. Increasing the ramp to 60 also results in same problem.

Intrestingly - on Load Balancer URL with 5 threads and ramp=1000 then - no problems

I am using JMeter 2.7. the HTTP sampler is set for Implementation = HttpClient4.

    Error is:

Re: Jmeter 2.7 + SSL Load Balanced Application

Have you talked to developers about this?

I'm guessing it's a connection pool problem. Maybe with the handling and not the max limit.

Re: Jmeter 2.7 + SSL Load Balanced Application

Guessing its due to the load balancer active connection and their timeout setting. Try increasing it.

    or

Check the load balancer machine resources if they get exhausted upon that load.
