difference between Throughput and KB/sec?
In Aggregate Graph, there are two columns.
What is the difference between these two columns?
DO we Measure Throughput as Request/second or Data returned by the server in bytes/second?and how this throughput is different from hits/second?
Your response would be appreciated.
Re: difference between Throughput and KB/sec?
This is the quote from the official glossary:
Throughput is calculated as requests/unit of time. The time is calculated from the start of the first sample to the end of the last sample. This includes any intervals between samples, as it is supposed to represent the load on the server.
The formula is: Throughput = (number of requests) / (total time).
That means that the dimension of throughput is [number]/[time]. Your second point has the dimension [traffic volume]/[time]
