not getting accurate response time for search
When i calculate response time of my search using stop watch , taking 15 seconds but jmeter is only showing 0.30 miliseconds. There is huge difference. As soon as i click search button, taking time to display all results in grid. But Jmeter is not waiting till all results display in the grid. As soon as i hit search button, in backend it is updating search_history and background_jobs table and once the background_jobs table status = complete that time search is done but jmeter is not calculating that times.
I need someone help how should i resolve this situation.
Thanks in Advance
Re: not getting accurate response time for search
It sounds like you need to look at how your listeners are configured, and which elements Jmeter is capturing.
Jmeter does not render a page the same way a browser does -it will not download all embedded resources (images, style sheets, etc.) unless you specifically tell it to.
It sounds like this is what's happening in the background:
You want the total time from "submit search through background", not individual times.
You can wrap all your requests into a Transaction Controller and click "generate parent sample". This will give you a total time.
