Is it possible to load test a process that has 3 pages but they are linked? I mean the 2nd page follows the first while the 3rd follow the second. It is basically testing our company website for purchasing of one of our product online. As per my knowledge to load testing, we can only load test an HTTP(S) address but to load test the above process is not theoretically possible. Do you think you have any other way around to achieve it?
Is there a way by which I could work my development team and get that load testing done for above scenario?
FYI, same parameters (user data) can be used throughout the process multiple times. We have Https pages so the data are encrypted but I can ask them to make few adjustment.
If you need any more information then I would be happy to provide you with. Thanks a ton!
Iím so sorry for replying late as I didnít expect that quick reply from you. Appreciate it.
Well someone told me that load testing is done on one independent URL or http(s) at a time. But (like you said) I recorded the script in Badboy (as it includes secure & non secure pages) and exported it to Jmeter.
I ran the script successfully and when checked against database it shows that orders were made but they are blank, there are no values in them. So maybe Jmeter is trying to make those orders but couldnít pass the information between pages (thatís why I thought itís not possible). Also the last three pages have same web address (https://secure.COMPANYNAME.com/checkout.cfm (perhaps it is decoding coldfusion script)).
Maybe Iím doing something stupid so please correct me.
