longer tests with JMeter and memory-usage
I have asked this like a year ago but let's wake this up once again...
I still can't believe what kind of a crazy memory-eater JMeter is. I would really like this tool if it was a little more friendly with memory usage.
If I have a 10-transaction script with approx. 30 http requests in total, I can't execute this test for very long. The java memory usage climbs quickly to it's limits and it's only a quick and dirty solution to make bigger heap.
I have tried to cut back the listeners and now I only have a csv-file writer.
JMeter has a garbage collection and my understanding is that this should free the memory but it doesn't... I dunno, maybe JMeter is only for a very small scale testing tool?
